Her Art, My Story
Yesterday afternoon, while waiting at the Dallas airport for our connecting flight from Florida to Bismarck, I checked my email and found a quiet gift waiting for me. The updated cover concept for my book had arrived.
I showed it to Brooke, my daughter, right there in the middle of rolling suitcases and boarding announcements. She smiled instantly. The design team had incorporated a piece of her artwork a mother and daughter sitting on a beach that I had shared earlier in the process.
It felt like one of those full-circle moments that doesn’t ask for celebration, only noticing. Her art. My words. Meeting in an in-between place, between where we’ve been and where we’re going.
This is an early cover concept, still part of the unfolding process, but already deeply meaningful to me.
Like the tide returning to shore, this moment reminds me that what we give in love always finds its way back.
May you always give in love -
